Case 39 (2009)

Movie : Case 39 (2009)

After I have watched the trailer and read the critics I had some mixed expectations before I bought the DVD but I thought it's a try worth. My wife and me were surprised how interesting this psycho thriller was. The story was good and never boring from begin to the end. Then the music was very mysterious too and well adapted to each scene. It's the first time I saw Renée Zellweger and she gave a respectable performance here. The director did also a fine job. This is an example how movies could attract attention from the audience with surprisingly unexpected turns and special effects and of course suspense. If you like this genre of films don't miss DRAG ME TO HELL, THE SKELETON KEY, THE AMITYVILLE HORROR or THE RING. I gave this case not a vote of 39 but 6.5 out 10 and it's going into my best of DVD collection.
